Emily has lived in the beautiful NC High Country for 20 + years and is the current advisor to the president of the Appalachian State Womens Club. She and her husband have raised 3 kids in Boone and have fostered numerous others in Watauga County. She has extensive firsthand experience with Appalachian State, the local schools, recreational activities, and community resources. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know her clients, and consistently strives to help them realize their real estate goals and dreams.
Emily's educational background includes a BS in Psychology from Colorado State University and an MBA in Finance from Florida State University. She possesses a unique skillset that is both people oriented and analytical. And she works steadfastly to provide her clients the time, attention, and detail needed to make swift, well-informed buying and selling decisions.
Emily holds herself to a high standard and believes that clients deserve to work with a broker who is responsive, honest, informative, and up on current market conditions. Furthermore, Emily knows that active listening and consistent communication are key in building and maintaining good relationships. Whether you are interested in buying or selling property, she will work to exceed your expectations and provide you with a satisfying real estate experience. Her niche areas include relocation, second homes, and right-sizing. She holds the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) designations.
Prior to entering the field of real estate, Emily gained experience working in the areas of software support, financial services, and higher education. She became a part of the “Appalachian Family” in 2003 when her husband began working for App State as a professor in the Walker College of Business. She has worked at App State herself in the Walker College of Business as an employer relations coordinator. She has an outgoing personality and enjoys welcoming families to the High Country.
